The World Best Judo “App”

Introduction
================
I’m sure you know that “app” is short for the word
“application.” And when it comes to the application
of a thing or applying something, there are only
two ways… the right way and… the wrong way.
The funny thing is, is that both paths, that of
the “right way” and the “wrong way” both kinda
start out the same.
They seem similar, but its not until you’ve walked
the wrong path for a long period of time that you
realize how freaking far you are off from “the right
path.”
=============
The Problem
http://www.drrhadiferguson.com/how-to-get-good-at-judo
=============
Those who have never walked the “right path”
before don’t understand what that path looks
like. They don’t know how to duplicate it,
how to construct it and quite honestly
how to help YOU get on the right path.
And its sad, to watch people walk down
this path. There have been so many times
that I wanted to help but just couldn’t. They
believed blindly in a medal, belt or certificate
that somebody else had.
================
Your Path

================
Look! Your path has to be specially designed,
carved, crafted and created for you. You CAN’T
use somebody elses and expect to get optimum
results for you. It just doesn’t work like that.
Its like buying a suit off the rack and getting one
that is custom made. I mean, you can fit the
one off the rack, but its not something that you
would want to wear at a high level professional
meeting.
And that’s just it. You NEED your own tailor made
and custom made strategic framework for action
for success and you need to know that that looks
like. You need to have that designed, created and
developed.

Sometimes You Can’t
Afford It… sometimes you
can’t afford not to get it

====================
People ask me all the time, what was the best investment
I’ve ever made in my athletic career.
And I tell them, I was willing to pay whatever I needed to pay
in order to be the best.
In 2006 I was training a track and field athlete and she said,
“I don’t want to go into debt in order to make the Olympics.”
I laughed and then when I was at a meeting in Denver, I spoke
with Carol Lewis, who is the sister of 9-Time Olympian Carl Lewis
and an Olympian herself and she said, “Well tell her she’s not
ready to be an Olympian because you have to be willing to
pay with no guarantees.”
And in my life, I was willing to pay, understanding that paying
did not guarantee a win, but it did guarantee that I would learn.
There’s so much chance in the environment of Judo, the best
thing that you can do is reduce it as much as possible.
I can still remember when I was training Taraje Williams-Murray
along with Jimmy Pedro for the 2008 Olympic Games.
We did so many reps and practice so long that Taraje wanted
know when we were going to take a break.
He was bored.
He was tired.
He was frustrated.
But, he beat the #1 Player in the world at the Olympic Games
because he used elements of deliberate practice to develop
a technique as well as a style which were unbeatable if
implemented properly.
He used deliberate practice.
Deliberate practice is a special type of
training which I spoke about earlier
this week. It will allow you to advance
quickly, to learn at a rapid rate and to -
quite honestly – get good at Judo FAST!
My clients have used these methods and
I have used them. I’ve studied the research
of the foremost authorities on the subject
for years and have applied their techniques
along with some things that I’ve learned
over the years through making champions
and mistakes to the point where I have
refined to process of rapid judo indoctrination.
My clients get good fast because I understand
coaching and education and the secrets of
deliberate practice.
And furthermore….. I am WILLING to do
the deliberate practice. The hours and
hours of training with you to ensure that
you develop.
